Paul Hatt, Managing Director of CS Audio, is currently providing the touring package for classical music composer Karl Jenkins’s Stella Natalis tour and classical singer Hayley Westenra’s Winter Magic Christmas Tour.
Following a comprehensive demonstration of both products he has purchased four Kv2 EX26 dual 6” high intelligibility loudspeakers and two EX6 full range 6” loudspeakers from James Lawford, Technical Sales at LMC Audio Systems Birmingham.
Discussing his decision to purchase the system Paul explained, “We'd heard good reports about the performance of the Kv2 products, in particular the quality of the nitride HF driver they use, and wanted to investigate further. We tried the EX26 on front-fill duties for some Curtis Stigers shows we did and were happily surprised to find it could keep up with the main P.A. when driven. We were astonished at the SPL such a small box could produce while retaining full range quality audio.”
Assured of the system’s competence, CS Audio were satisfied the system was suitable for the tour requirements due to its small size and slim-line cabinet design, “Due to the wide dispersion we achieved excellent coverage within the venues while remaining totally unobtrusive. The tour has visited some beautiful buildings and we wanted the sound system to be as 'invisible' as possible. The self-powered design meant that the entire tour package saved weight, space and time, being very quick & convenient to transport, without compromising the audio.”
